This committee is responsible for planning many social events for the congregation and the community. Field trips include adventures in arts and cultural activities.
For the summer, worship service begins at 9:30 am followed by a Fellowship Time at 10:35 am.
The first Sunday service of June, July, and August will be indoors and communion will be offered. The other Sundays of these months the service will be outdoors, weather permitting.
On Sunday, August 20th there will be a special Blessing of the Animals service followed by a “Dog Days of Summer” picnic.
There will be a benefit concert for the Lomagundi Clinic, in Zimbabwe sponsored by Wheat Ridge Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, September 9th from 5-7 pm in our outdoor worship area with a 30 minute intermission midway through the concert for people to eat and make donations (“gates” open at 4:30PM). The band will be Nokuthula, which performs Afro-pop, fusion dance music from Zimbabwe and beyond. Cost will be $15 per adult in advance (20$ at the door). Those 12 years and under may attend for free. People may bring a picnic or the meal of a hot pulled pork sandwich meal plus bottle of water will be available at the concert for $5.00 per meal.
